The Casey Station Art Exhibition - 10 March 2006

Casey Station threw an art party and we did it in style. Everyone dressed in their finest. The chefs did an amazing job with finger foods and canapés for dinner and the band played soft, unobtrusive background music. The range and the scope of the exhibits were truly amazing. There was – to name a few things - a sculpture made from rubbish found in the old tip, a wood carving of a penguin, charcoal drawings and water colour paintings and even hand made jewelry and a beautiful Ice Axe.
I am constantly blown away by the amount of talent that is gathered in this one place. The art was fabulous. It really could have been a local gallery anywhere. Once again I am shown that there really are some very special people that I am lucky enough to share this year with.
As the night wore on the band fired up. Andrew and Lisa gave us the BEST adlib song session of Andrews Mawson adventures. Sid set up the drums and showed that he truly is a talented drummer as he revved the band up and picked up the pace. All in all it was another fun filled, fabulous evening at Casey.
