Berg Cruise

There are days when the sea is like glass and the Bergs seem so close you could reach out from the Casey shoreline and touch them. These are the days to arrange a Breg cuise. Out on the ocean it is still, calm and peaceful. The IRB's race along the water out past the end of the shoreline, past Wilkes and beyond. Out onto the ocean that is as calm as a glass lake and just as beautiful. As the boat approaches these beautiful giants I was just awestruck by their size and their beauty. imagine, some of these Bergs are hundreds of thousands of years old. And they have to be seen to be appreciated. these photos here can never do justice to the amazing spectacle of them. I am so very lucky to be able to have experience times like this.
At nearly midnight we sat - 4 boats of people - out on the water sipping hot chocolate and eating TimTams - waiting for the sun to set and the sky to light with the most amazing array of colours. Bloody beautiful! I tell you, Arnotts would pay a small fortune for THAT photo ha ha
