Finally at Casey 14th december 2005

Finally we have arrived.
I took the boat ashore today for the first time. This place really is for me. It is amazing. I thought it would be older and a little run down but it really is like a 5 star Challet. I am so impressed. I love theComms building. Very comfy indeed! Been so flat out. So much to take in. Our comms operator is now not staying and is going to Davis, so as of tomorow we have radio opps to do as well as everythign else. I am going back to the ship every night which is also tireing.
But I love Casey so much. It is just an awesome place. The weather has been fabulpous. Endless blue skies and not a breath of wind for 2 days straight. Have ben wlakign aorund in jenas and T-Shirt and I am hot.
I was feeling a little overwhelmed by all the stuff I need to know, but I am setteling in OK now. Had to do a crash course in radio opps today, but that was all good. Then I got teased mercilessly at dinner by some of the boys who reckon my radio voice sounded like a voice over lady on a TV add. Bit harsh on me I! Ha Ha. I am also doing the sitrep on the telephone and it is hilarious! I put on my Miss Patsy from Romper Room voice. Ha ha. Funny Stuff.
